Dermatology is the field of medicine that deals with the conditions and diseases of the skin. In addition, dermatology also deals with cosmetic treatments of the skin, hair, and nails.

In turn, dermatology is divided into several subfields, each one with a specific purpose and specific treatments. Many dermatologists offer treatment in several of these areas.

Immunodermatology deals with immune-mediated skin illnesses, such as lupus, bullous pemphigoid, as well as other conditions.
